Mitsubishi Airtrek Kembali Sebagai EV

Nampakgayanya Mitsubishi Airtrek yang sangat digemari akan kembali!

Mitsubishi Motors agak tenggelam di Auto Shanghai 2021 berbanding sejumlah besar kereta dan pelancaran konsep dari Nissan, Toyota, Audi, Genesis dan banyak lagi. Oleh itu, mereka membuat pengumuman yang sangat penting – Airtrek akan kembali!

Airtrek akan kembali sebagai model SUV yang semua baharu dan elektrik. Airtrek baharu berdasarkan konsep “SUV e-cruising”. Mitsubishi Motors mengatakan bahawa ia merangkumi tiga kata kunci: “Electric”, “Expanding”, “Expressive”. Kami tidak pasti dengan tepat bagaimana itu diterjemahkan kepada kenderaan, tetapi mungkin mereka ingin menjadikannya lebih sebagai kenderaan gaya hidup daripada prestasi apa pun atau berorientasikan off-road. Tidak ada perincian lebih lanjut mengenai Airtrek baharu, kecuali beberapa gambar teaser.

Ke Mana Perginya Airtrek Sebenarnya?

Airtrek adalah crossover yang agak popular di Malaysia, terutama dalam bentuk turbocharged. Ia diperkenalkan di Jepun pada tahun 2001 dan merupakan salah satu usaha awal syarikat untuk menggabungkan kualiti off-roader tradisional seperti ground clearance dan kedudukan tempat duduk yang tinggi dengan pelepasan rendah dan kos operasi kenderaan penumpang biasa. Model Turbo hadir dengan enjin 4G63T dari Lancer Evolution.

Apa yang berlaku kepada Airtrek ialah ia berubah menjadi Outlander generasi berikutnya. Outlander dijual di Malaysia hingga hari ini lengkap dengan yang dipasang di sini. Namun, ia mewarisi model Turbo dan telah mengambil peranan sebagai SUV berorientasi keluarga dengan 7 tempat duduk dan gaya kotak.

Dengan kembalinya nama Airtrek, Mitsubishi pasti akan menggembirakan sebilangan peminat lama jenama tersebut. Tetapi melainkan jika ia dikembalikan sebagai varian prestasi elektrik Outlander baru, saya tidak pasti betapa bersemangatnya peminat. Berkemungkinan juga Airtrek berdasarkan Nissan Ariya kerana model ini adalah elektrik tulen dan perikatan antara kedua syarikat Jepun cukup ketat sekarang.
